Antonie Frank Grahamsdaughter, Master of fine art, journalist, film-maker: "Images of Indigenous people from North America and Canada in Sweden”

Abstract
The lecture will heighten contemporary stereotypes of indigenous people in North-America. These stereotypes are often found in advertising, packaging, education materials for children, new age culture, computer games, and in the context of sports. Stereotypes dehumanize, reduce and transform groups into non-humans and finally into mascots or caricatures.
